About The Mauretania Lights

We have been displaying Christmas lights since we moved into the neighborhood in 2006. Every year, it was the same display. Then, my wife and I talked and decided we wanted to start turning the backyard into a Christmas Wonderland, with the front of the house keeping a more traditional look.

Since then, we have added one or two (sometimes more) new items every year. It’s now 2025, and we have over 25 Inflatables, several Singing props, a 12-ft mega tree and Star, floodlights, spinners, snowflakes, columns, six controllers, and over 50,000 lights. It’s really not a lot of lights, but it sounds like a lot. 🙂

Across the street, our neighbors have an incredible display of lights. The two corners make up the Mauretania Lights.

Imagine a sprawling winter wonderland illuminated by thousands of shimmering Christmas lights, transforming the landscape into a festive spectacle. The scene begins with trees and bushes wrapped in twinkling strands of colorful lights, their branches glistening in the cold night air.

The house is wrapped in shimmering lines of greens and reds, their bright colors contrasting against the foreground of sparkling Christmas tree towers over the entire scene, decorated with a multitude of ornaments, characters, and a glowing star at its peak, while the lights along the edge pulse and shift, creating a mesmerizing rhythm.

The air is filled with holiday music, further heightening the festive atmosphere. In every corner, there’s something new to discover—reindeer prancing in place, inflatables like Mickey, the Grinch, and Minions busy at work singing to songs, plus candy canes and wreaths glowing in the distance, all contributing to the feeling of being in a magical Christmas storybook.

The entire scene perfectly blends joyful colors, sparkling lights, and playful holiday characters, creating an enchanting environment where the spirit of Christmas truly comes to life.
